MORE ABOUT THE CLASS
Branding Boot Camp for Nonprofits (LVL310)
In this class, learners will develop the essential skills needed to evaluate, strengthen, and create a clear, practical branding guideline for their nonprofit or small business. The focus is on understanding the core elements of a strong brand—logo refinement, color systems, typography, tone, and visual consistency—and applying them in a real-world, nonprofit context. Students will learn how to identify what’s working in their current brand, pinpoint areas for improvement, and make strategic, incremental updates that feel achievable for small teams and organizations.
The course is delivered across three 2.5-hour online Zoom sessions, combining short lectures on branding fundamentals, live demonstrations, group critique, hands-on design exercises, and personalized guidance. Learners will work inside Figma, the industry-standard tool for digital design, using both provided templates and simple, edit-friendly layouts. Along the way, they will learn the basics of Figma while creating a usable branding guideline document they can share with their organization.
